SUMMER CONCERT SERIES & CUPCAKE CHALLENGE – JUNE 1 | BRANDON GILES

On Saturday, June 1, Tanner Medical Center Villa Rica presents Nashville’s Brandon Giles & The Tricky Two. Enjoy a night of hard rocking honky-tonk classics, electrifying blues and boogie-woogie standards. As always, you are encouraged to come early and spend time in Downtown Villa Rica, browse our shops and have lunch or dinner at our quaint eateries. The “cupcake challenge” begins at 7pm and the music begins at 8pm, so bring your lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy the evening. This concert is absolutely free and marks the beginning of THE MILL’s Summer Concert Series.

Load up the family and come to this concert for great music and delicious sweet and savory cupcakes at our “cupcake challenge”. Tasting tickets may be purchased in advance at the Main Street office @ THE MILL (106 Temple Street) or on the grounds of the amphitheater during the evening of this event. The theme for this challenge is “Tastes of the Seasons”; and tickets are $1 each. Bakers will offer cupcakes at their booths, so buy a handful of tickets and sample them all, and take some home, too. (Vendors will not accept cash.) The concession stand will have plenty of ice cold milk and steamy hot coffee along with other cold drinks to wash down all that sweetness. Remember to bid on our beautiful and fun gift baskets. Purchase one or more of the 15 baskets by being the highest bidder in the silent auction.

Brandon Giles & The Tricky Two

Just when you think you’ve seen it all, there is more to “light your fire” with music! If you have not experienced the wild piano playing antics of Brandon Giles and the extreme drumming dexterity of Thumper Tarver, then you have missed one of the most entertaining shows around. The band’s music ranges from blues, to country and even some good ol’ southern rock. Watching these guys adds a new “twist and spark” to the romantic tunes. Brandon Giles plays the piano and keyboard like no other with fire and energy that is non-stop. The crafty piano player shows off his skills by pounding out the jives backwards, sideways, upside down and even with the instrument on fire! Audiences are captivated by his wild energy and tremendous talent. Brandon jokingly describes his shows as being “kind of like Little Richard meets AC/DC”.
